VAIMEE at VT-Day 2026: innovation and precision agriculture

At the Digital Automation Lab in Reggio Emilia, VAIMEE presented how Agorà turns weather, soil and crop data into irrigation advice — with no sensors in the field.

On 9 July 2026 we took part in VT-Day at the Digital Automation Lab in Reggio Emilia, the annual event promoted by Rete IDEAgri and dedicated to artificial intelligence applied to agriculture. The day brought together machinery manufacturers, agromechanics associations, supply chain representatives and developers to explore concrete applications of AI in the field, from interoperability to data management.

A talk rooted in precision agriculture

We shared VAIMEE's approach to precision agriculture, presenting how Agorà — a software-only platform for precision irrigation — uses weather data, soil profiles and crop water needs to deliver reliable recommendations without any in-field sensors. An approach that puts sustainable water management within reach of farms of every size.

Networking and new connections

Beyond the talk, VT-Day proved an important networking opportunity, with a highly technical audience ranging from machinery manufacturers to system integrators. One signal stood out: even the most hardware-oriented part of the sector is looking closely at software and data.

Our thanks go to Rete IDEAgri for the opportunity, and to all the speakers for the insights they shared. Days like this confirm how essential dialogue between different organisations is to building a more sustainable agriculture.
